TC11 Titanium Alloy Overview

TC11 (Ti-6.5Al-3.5Mo-1.5Zr-0.3Si) titanium alloy is an a+β type heat-strength titanium alloy with good comprehensive properties. It has good tensile strength and yield strength at room temperature, excellent thermal strength and good thermal processing performance below 500 °C, and has been widely used in the aerospace field.

Due to the high melting point of TC11 titanium alloy and the narrow range of thermal processing temperature, most of the titanium alloy structural parts used in industry need to be machined after plastic deformation treatment, the processing cycle is long, and the material utilization rate is extremely low. The use of laser direct deposition near net shape technology to manufacture titanium alloy structural parts can greatly shorten the processing cycle, improve the utilization rate of powder materials, and save expensive processing costs at the same time.
